World Hospice and Palliative Day is a day of action to celebrate and support the development of hospice and palliative care around the world. All around the world, there are people who need hospice and palliative care, but not all of them can access it. The theme for World Day 2010 is "Sharing the care".

World Post Day marks the anniversary of the beginning of the Universal Postal Union in 1874. Today the UPU has 189 member countries and oversees the co-ordination of the global postal service. Postal services in all countries offer the primary means of communication. The goal is to guarantee a universal postal service that is easily to hand, competent and inexpensive.
